More cherry tees to the Walker!

A sea of cherry boxes containing the I (cherry) MPLS t-shirt and an I (cherry) MPLS print were hauled over to the Walker Art Center this morning! We were thrilled to fulfill a second order. Thanks to Lucas Richards for his masterful screen printing and to the Walker Art Center for spreading the cherry love!

Branding MN's 10,000 Lakes! Uff-da!

Check out this cool site: Branding 10,000 Lakes.

From Nicole Meyer, the site’s creator:
“Lake logos have a tendency to be, well, fairly ugly. This project was created to rethink what they could be. One Minnesota Lake. One Logo. Everyday. Should only take a little over 27 years to hit ’em all. Stay tuned and enjoy!”

The AIGA MN Distiller!

Check out the Distiller masthead! Thanks to AIGA MN for showcasing the Seward interior and for the shout-out about our Environmental Graphics design award this year! Click here to view the Distiller as a webpage.

Fun in the Spunk basement.

A bit of an art project we got there, eh? We’re working on a short animation and Libby Hegtvedt of Pinkshirtsandcarwrecks (check it out!) built us that rad set. And there you can see our very own Steve filming with an awesome dolly he made. All kinds of fun here at the Spunk Design Machine.

Go Nokomis Shoe Shop!

Our neighbors, Nokomis Shoe Shop, had their Annual Customer Appreciation Tent Sale this past weekend and not only did they have great deals, the Fork in the Road lunch truck and a bouncy for the kiddos, but they also had their best day of sales in their history!! And, they ran us dry of our small and medium I (cherry) MPLS girly tshirts! A success for everyone, if we do say. Go Nokomis Shoe Shop!

Finally, an appropriate sized coffee cup!

There it is, folks, a coffee cup as it should be… big and filled with fairly traded coffee. Look for Equal Exchange and their big coffee cup (and bean bag toss!) at the Fringe Festival… ready, go!

Making bean bags for Equal Exchange!

Check ’em out, Equal Exchange Bean Bags for bean bag toss! Where can we toss these bean bags, you ask? Why, at the Fringe Festival of course! Win and you could probably get yourself some free coffee beans.

And just look at that beaut of a 100-year-old Singer that Sam (former Spunk maven) busted out to sew these puppies up. Bean bags sewn with love, my friends. Sewn with love.
