Jonny meet Walker. Walker, Jonny.

Jonny

We couldn’t be happier to announce a recent partnership between our clients Jonny Pops and Minnesota art establishment, the Walker Art Center. Not only did Replace help facilitate this brilliant meeting of minds, but also presented the flavor pairing for this partnership. Seeing the new pop come to life couldn’t be sweeter for us!

Jonny Pops up on The Dieline

We are proud to see our work on The Dieline today!  We worked hard to design a family of packages that quickly and clearly communicates the pillars of the brand: pure & simple ingredients, great flavor, and social mission. The challenge was to create a cohesive family of packages that quickly grabs attention while also efficiently communicating flavor and simple ingredients. The new Jonny Pops packaging can be seen in select stores now!

Replace at the Walker

TANK_ARCHIVE_3

Replace is incredibly honored and proud to be part of the upcoming Walker Art Center’s Insights 2015 Design Lecture Series, Minnesota Design: A Celebration, featuring Andrew Blauvelt. Our work for client Tank Goodness will be featured there along with a large collection of work featuring Minnesota and Minnesota designers. The Series itself will delve into why our beautifully cold state is such a “hot bed for innovation”. Thanks Andrew for including us in this Lecture Series; we couldn’t be prouder. Find out more about Minnesota Design: A Celebration here.

Tug and the Tooth launches

TUG_w_Book_Front

Losing a tooth is one of the most significant milestones in a young child’s life.  It’s the first time one is old enough to notice physical change which can bring a flood of emotion ranging from excitement to worry.

We at Replace had the opportunity to pair with Heidi Whitaker to create a product and website called Tug and the Tooth. You can check out Tug’s website here.

Nokomis Shoes Steps Up

The boot has finally dropped, Nokomis Shoes has released both their new Replace designed look and website! Let me just say, this website is no loafer, but rather has a leg up when it comes to responsiveness. Ok… I think we’ve exhausted our shoe-related puns for the time being. In the meantime, while we think up more, check out their new site here!

Big thanks to Nokomis Shoes for allowing us to work on this project and being such great clients. A big thank you as well to Room 34 for lovingly cobbling together the development. Sorry, couldn’t resist one more.

Ch-ch-ch-Changin’ (at See Change)

Lemons

The design world is constantly changing, coming up with new ways to innovate. Just look at how typesetting has evolved with the introduction of the Adobe creative-suite! Our fearless leader Jeff Johnson was asked to discuss this very thing with Adobe at the most recent See Change Conference.

With the ever expanding influence of 3D printers and 3D programs (Photoshop CC, for example), designers are finding brand new tools at their fingertips. Replace has used this technology (with the help of Adobe and Makerbot) to create a prototype for our amazing clients at JonnyPops. With just the cost of the plastic we were able to manufacture the shape and design of their newest proposed flavor, Lemon Butter Merengue. It’s the future… and we’re livin’ it. I’ll let Jeff explain it all himself here!

Cheers to the Big Ego

tiggly_two_boxes

We just wanted to give a big shout out of thanks to MPLS Egotist for once again featuring our work. Recently we posted a tweet discussing our packaging work for the children’s iPad toy Tiggly and the Egotist was nice enough to give us a nice write up. You can read the article yourself here!
