Ch-ch-ch-Changin’ (at See Change)

Lemons

The design world is constantly changing, coming up with new ways to innovate. Just look at how typesetting has evolved with the introduction of the Adobe creative-suite! Our fearless leader Jeff Johnson was asked to discuss this very thing with Adobe at the most recent See Change Conference.

With the ever expanding influence of 3D printers and 3D programs (Photoshop CC, for example), designers are finding brand new tools at their fingertips. Replace has used this technology (with the help of Adobe and Makerbot) to create a prototype for our amazing clients at JonnyPops. With just the cost of the plastic we were able to manufacture the shape and design of their newest proposed flavor, Lemon Butter Merengue. It’s the future… and we’re livin’ it. I’ll let Jeff explain it all himself here!

CREATE The Community Meal brand identity on press today!

Create_Collateral

Over the last few months Replace has been working on a brand identity for CREATE The Community Meal from Public Art Saint Paul by artist Seitu Jones. and today, it became reality. Postcards, business cards, and other promotional materials are all on press and the website is live. The brand identity is a reflection of the many cultures woven together in the rich and diverse St. Paul community. It also alludes to the ripple effect submitting and sharing stories and a meal can have on building and strengthening our community. Get ready to see the brand work all over St. Paul from now through September 14, when 2,000 people will gather at a ½ mile long table in the middle of Saint Paul’s Victoria Street for a civic dinner table conversation about Food Access, Food Justice, and Healthy Eating. Learn more about the project as well as all the other amazing projects Public Art Saint Paul supports here. Next up we’re going to tackle a full Public Art Saint Paul rebrand complete with new website by our friends at Room 34.

Purely Peanut Butter. Purely Good.

Peanut Butter Pure

Our clients over at Pure just announced the creation of their new Peanut Butter Chocolate bar. This further expands on the Ancient Grains line that we designed for them with their existing Chocolate Chunk Nut and Triple Berry Nut. We’re extremely pleased to see this continue on the trend of both great design and great taste! Cheers Pure and thanks for being a great partner. You can read more about the Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar (including how to order some for yourself) here.

Big Thanks, Egotist

Replace_Egotist

Once again we can’t help but give a big thanks to the Minneapolis Egotist for featuring us on their blog. For those of you not familiar with the Egotist they firmly have their fingers to the pulse of the very bright Minnesota Design Community. As some of you may know, Replace is a pretty unique design shop and we created a video with our friends Rau+Barber talking about just that! In case you haven’t seen the great video they created (and that was just shared by the Egotist) you can catch it right here! You can also (and we highly recommend it) check out the MPLS Egotist article here!

Blue Spot Front

When our friends from Blue Spot Lobotomy asked us to design their album artwork for them there was no way we could say no! Congratulations to Blue Spot Lobotomy for releasing your album! Harkening back to the days of  early lobotomies illustrations, we wanted to make them something both visceral as well as beautiful that borrowed from that aesthetic. We really can’t be happier with how it turned out!  Special thanks to Angel Bomb for doing such a brilliant job letter-pressing these as well as a special thanks to Sheehan for the great photos!

Cheers to the Big Ego!
